SI Software Innovation GmbH (SI GmbH) was founded in 1996 by former employees of the IT service providers ICR und EDS. With its head quarters in the Weinstraße in Neustadt (Rhineland Pfalz), the company and its workforce of 35 is develop, manage and market systems for the electronic administration of documents.

The specialists for the management of all types of document provide their customers with comprehensive solutions for post inbox processing, document recording, archive consolidation, central archiving inside or outside the firm (DMS outsourcing), print optimization and workflow.
Large Documents Management System
The central focus of their portfolio is the Large Documents Management System (LDMS), a modern, cross-branch document management system for firms of every size. LDMS is based on current mainframe technology (zServer) from IBM.
Reinforcement for Beta Systems
SI GmbH became a 100 % subsidiary of Beta Systems Software AG in February 2008.
Independent product line in the DCI portfolio
With its acquisition, Beta Systems was able to extend its existing product portfolio and with LDMS, strengthen its highly profitable mainframe business. LDMS is to continue as an independent product line within Beta System’s Data centre infrastructure portfolio. Beta Systems segment output management solutions can be extended by DMS functions using LDMS, e.g. the viewing and research of lists or the long-term archive with electronic documents.

The DMS experts from SMI GmbH provide support in all project phases, from consultation and planning up to the realization and implementation of a tailor-made DMS solution.
Secure Archiving
Many companies face the challenge of reconciling growing quantities of data and accelerated business processes with legal regulations, compliance requirements and corporate governance guidelines. The largest problem proves to be document handling. The alternative to impenetrable piles of paper, microfilm, CDs or jukebox archive systems is a central archive on the IBM mainframe. Any amount of documents can be stored securely, all operative steps are comprehensible and it enables the alignment of company-wide access and decentralized print output. Interfaces such as the SAP-certified Archive Link guarantee quick data exchange with ERP, CRM or HR systems.
Transferring old archives
The liquidation of old archives and the consolidation of the data in a modern DMS simplifies document handling and improves workflow handling noticeably. Depending on the requirements, all operations are checked beforehand - ranging from the commercial archive solution to the archiving of all documents in an external high-security data center.

The customer base of SI Software Innovation GmbH includes countless renowned IT service providers for banks and insurance, industrial, commercial and service firms, healthcare organizations, public service bodies as well as church and social organizations. A particular focus lies on the financial services sector. Customers from this segment include FIDUCIA IT AG and GAD eG, the central IT service providers of the Volks- und Raiffeisenbanken-Verbund with over 900 associated institutes. A total of 75 000 employees of over 1000 firms world-wide access their central archive using LDMS.
