Allianz Shared Infrastructure Services GmbH (ASIC) and Beta Systems implement a cross-platform document archiving system for banks and insurers
A Beta Systems high-performance archive including a print management system has been easing the daily document handling burden of 5,000 Allianz Deutschland employees for some time now. It allows cross-platform management of host output lists and consistent archiving of job logs, lists and client/server documents. The interaction between the host systems and Beta Systems is specifically geared to support vast data volumes and a large number of users.
Other key design goals included guaranteeing data integrity and providing high access security. The system’s highlight is the integrated Beta Web Enabler, which makes it possible to access information locally, i.e., from any workstation across the company. This means that credit processors, credit examiners and applicants can search and view information related to their business case via the Web.

The Company
Allianz Shared Infrastructure Services GmbH (ASIC), is a wholly owned subsidiary of Allianz SE and the Allianz Group’s IT service provider. The company owns one of Germany’s largest online print shops.
The Challenge
ASIC needed to replace their heterogeneous log archiving and print output systems and provide the Allianz Group with a consistent product for all customer systems.
