Additional notes on z/OS 1.11 onwards

Please note that as a minimum the PTF levels required for z/OS 1.10 must be installed.

Note on Beta 88
From z/OS 1.11 onwards, SMF download program IFASMFDP in conjunction with IRRADU00 automatically sets the LRECL of the output dataset to 12288 (previously 8192).
This means that PTFs are needed for Beta 88. These PTFs can be downloaded from the Beta FTP server at ftp://ftp.betasystems.com/pub/BETA88/.

Note on Beta 85 V2R2M2
IBM has introduced a new parameter: 'YES=ALL'. This parameter enables all the backup copies of a file to be deleted, and must be used from z/OS 1.11 onwards. To allow for this change, IBM provides two PTFs that maintain the consistency of version 1.11 with previous releases: UA48183 (for V1.10) and UA48184 (for V1.9). These PTFs cause the new 'YES=ALL' parameter to be ignored in the previous versions. You will find more information on this APAR here:
 http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1OA29178
If you want to run Beta 85 V2R2M2 with z/OS 1.11, please contact our Support Center (support@betasystems.com). We will send you the modifications for Beta 85 V2R2M2.

Important information for Beta 92 customers with z/OS from Version 1.12
Because IBM has changed some messages in z/OS 1.12, you will need to install the following PTFs:
For Beta 92 V4R4 and Beta 92 Agility SP1: POM2222, POM2223 and POM2292 (already included in Level V4R4-05 and subsequent levels)
For Beta 92 V4R3 and Beta 92 Agility V1.1: POM1311, POM 1312 and POM1323
Here, too, please use SMP/E statement RECEIVE SYSMODS LIST to install the PTFs and PTF packages. You will then find the relevant instructions for the PTFs in the SMP/E log.
Important: After installing into SMP/E, you must tailor and run jobs B92ULOAD and B92TBSCN.

You will find these PTFs at ftp://ftp.betasystems.com/pub/BETA92/
