When did you start working at Beta Systems? Why did you choose Beta Systems back then?
I started in July 2023. I chose Beta Systems because the company presented itself to me with a great deal of honesty. I quickly got a sense of how Beta Systems works. The collaboration with multiple development teams, direct contact with all touchpoints within the company, and the complexity of the product made Beta Systems especially appealing to me.
What are your tasks at Beta Systems?
Within the Product Team, I’m gradually taking over the communication part across Beta Systems. Internal as well as external stakeholders will be in contact with me. Their requirements and ideas are gathered, categorized, prioritized, and passed on to the development team through me.
What does a typical working day look like for you?
Every day is very different from the one before. In addition to writing tickets and planning them, I’m in contact almost daily with colleagues from Sales and Professional Services, as both departments work very closely with customers and regularly bring in new requirements from existing and new clients.
Office or home office?
Both. Company and work culture are important and can naturally be absorbed and conveyed much more easily in the office. However, I personally find it easier to focus when working from home.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
The productive exchange with colleagues and thinking through workflows and processes.
What do you particularly appreciate about your colleagues?
Their openness to questions and suggestions – most colleagues have a good ear for that and are always up for engaging, work-related conversations.
What qualities do you need for a job in your field? What challenges are there?
Composure, a communicative mindset, and the ability to empathize with the perspectives of the various stakeholders involved.
What do you like most about Beta Systems as an employer?
The clear connection to its Berlin roots. Despite its long company history, there’s a strong awareness that forward-thinking is necessary – without neglecting the existing business areas.
What three words would you use to describe Beta Systems?
Professionalism, good working atmosphere, and transparency.
