Why did you attend Beyond26?
Beyond is, or Beta events are really useful to understand the vision in the next years, especially focused on the mainframe, because it's our core business. So understanding what the company is looking for, and so the other customer, what they are literally really looking for the future is really important for us to make or to be on the same strategy of the company. That's the main reason why we are coming. We are not the first time at a Beta event, and every time is really coming back with a lot of information.
What were the highlights of the event in your experience?
It's positive to see that there are, anyway, young people really trusting on the mainframe technology. And it's really important for the future because several of senior skill are going to retire. So having young people really trusting in such a technology is really making the confidence more for the future of the mainframe.
What is the key insight take away?
The mainframe is not dying. It's still alive. There is a lot of evolution around it. That's the reason why we have still to invest on the mainframe. Because it's really the core business and the high availability of the environment is really important for a bank system.
What role does automation play in your organization?
Anyway, automation for sure is really the key point. Taking care about processes and automation tool in my company, I'm really the ownership to improve the automation using AI capabilities, using all the possibility to do more within less effort on the people.
Any final remarks?
Sure. Having a company like Beta System and Horizont investing so much in such technology, we should be really able to be close to each other to understand which is our needs, and what can Beta System and Horizont offer to do this kind of evolution in the future.
